Flagship UK Data Centre

The challenge

TTSP were appointed to work with the China Mobile International (CMI) team to deliver their flagship UK data centre, the first facility for CMI in Europe.

The approach

Working with the team to consider all areas of the data centre from site wide containment and security to plant solutions, optimum hall configuration, rack layout and phased build out. The CMI global standards were integrated into a localised day ultimate design for this new tier 3 facility. The initial development was influenced through a series of variation orders to minimise build time and optimise the speed of the follow on Phase 1 hall delivery through the commissioning of a bespoke shell.

The result

A highly effective, efficient and flexible major data centre to launch the CMI brand and business within the UK market. To be fitted out in two phases, the ultimately completed project will deliver 3200m² of technical space across four data halls.
