Revitalising an Edwardian warehouse

The challenge

In partnership with Design and Build contractor, ISG, we were appointed by John Mark Developments to refurbish and fitout an Edwardian warehouse and create a 4-star ‘boutique’ hotel.

The approach

Our ambition was to transform the industrial shell into a plush modern hotel, working within the Clerkenwell/St John’s Square conservation area.

With our eye ever on sustainability, our innovative solution included a natural ventilation scheme, where water from a borehole assists the air conditioning.

The results

From 2,620m² of warehouse space, we created 52 bedrooms, 7 penthouse rooms with views across the rooftops of London, reception, bar and restaurant, kitchen and dining rooms. And all in a year’s work.
