Creating spaces to inspire the next generation

The challenge

We were appointed to complete the design and construction information to enable the build of a new design and technology block at Coombe Boys’ School in New Malden.

The approach

TTSP creates solutions for high-performance environments and ambitious businesses through collaborative working and specialist knowledge, and our approach to this new school building was no different. Our ambition was to create a flexible space where the students could thrive.

We applied this approach to the new block, encompassing three floors of teaching space, a new assembly room and dining hall, which can be sub divided or opened up to create a performance space.

The result

Coombe Boys’ school now boasts a range of modern classrooms for art, home economics and design and technology. Following the main commission, we were also appointed to design a new reception block, including office and training accommodation and new secure access to the school.
