Revitalising buildings for a digital future
The challenge
In support of a desire for fundamental redefining of the cultural and physical shape of their business, Aviva Plc identified the potential to relocate into the South Shoreditch Conservation Area, bringing a substantial new workforce, level of investment and creativity.
The approach
The refurbishment and development of 28- 30 Hoxton Square, two smaller linked properties, and 43-44 Hoxton Square, extends and enhances a campus of offices in which to locate the fast-growing digital part of their business. A multi-disciplinary review of the development potential was led by TTSP, with clear objectives:
• Overall Campus headcount target 450 FTE by Q2 2019;
• Create a flexible occupancy model
• Design environments that deliver against operational, cultural, brand criteria and values.
The result
Currently under construction our goal is to retain as much as possible of the existing buildings and character, whilst refurbishing and enhancing their environmental and energy efficiencies, and delivering a mix of spaces and facilities that support digital workstyles and preferences.
