Turning commercial into luxurious residential
The challenge
Originally completed as part of the City Village development by TTSP in the 1980’s, this existing building had outgrown its viability as an office building. We were appointed by AAI Group to transform the development into 41 high specification serviced apartments while respecting the sensitivity of the Conservation Area setting.
The approach
Together with achieving the necessary Change of Use, the opportunities offered by the building were maximised focusing on daylight, openess, luxury and comfort including the provision of new roof top units with views to the Monument and the River Thames.
The results
The flexible spaces - studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and disabled accommodation - have received glowing reviews from the apartment operator, Go Native. They are a contemporary ‘home away from home’, in keeping with their luxurious central London location and have proved to be one of their best performing premises.
