TTSPare delighted to announce that at last night’s London Borough of Newham Strategic Development Committee hearing, unanimous approval was given to the new 80MW Hyperscale Data Centre on Bidder Street, Newham. Working withsineQNand their development partners and funders,Legal & Generaland Goldacre,TTSPas lead architect, and in partnership withFoster + Partners, have been developing the designs on this £750m Data Centre for over 2 years. The 80MW development has the potential to be a heat source for thousands of new and existing homes in Newham. Additionally, the proposal delivers significant public realm including the completion of the Lea Walk connecting the Olympic Park to Canning Town, investment in education and skills training, public art, ecological enhancement and contributes to a new pedestrian bridge crossing the adjacent River Lea.
